There are so many details to get excited about when planning your wedding but I doubt that the first thing you think about when it comes to your decor is how you are going to add some style to your aisle! The first glimpse your guests have into your wedding day is your wedding ceremony and it is the most important (in fact the main reason!) they are all there to celebrate with you. But enough about your guests, this is one of the most important walks as a bride, groom, Father of the Bride, and many others that you and they will ever take; so why not dress it up a bit!
Anna and Joe were married at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa’s Pavilion Tent overlooking the golf course. It was the perfect garden setting- budding rose bushes around the perimeter and oversize floral baskets lined the walk way setting the scene for their Versailles inspired sculpture garden wedding ceremony. Just as the Orangerie at Versailles is know for its grandeur, we wanted to bring a few special touches into this ceremony that could support the majesty of the beauty and love this couple embody. Enter, the drop dead gorgeous hand painted fabric aisle runner.
We worked with an artist to incorporate the decorative elements from their custom stationery along with their names to signify the entrance for their ceremony aisle. A clean lined gold border paired with additional elements from the couple’s branding was the perfect balance of structure and elegance. The luscious floral garland tightly packed with open roses, bright blooms and local hops, carefully guarded the aisle while the stately gold guest chairs anchored the space. Guests had ample views of the couple and their wedding party including the shortest ring bearer- the couple’s golden retriever.
Looking for a way to add some custom touches to your runner? Add your initials, wedding date, a favorite quote or scripture, icons from your hometowns and travels, an all over pattern or a modern decorative edge. Personalizing your ceremony with killer aisle style is a great way to enhance your wedding ceremony and make your day that much more your own! Happy planning!
